Adapt Levels of Difficulty
Adapt the skill level, problem type, or the rules on how the learner may approach the work:
For example:
- Read or paraphrase the subject matter
- Interactive/talking dictionary, thesaurus or spell checker
- Number lines or visual cues
- Checklist for solving math problems
- Allow oral/verbal instead of written responses
- Model or spiral-down/adjust standard to meet student ability
- Partner work/collaboration before bringing ideas to the big group
- Role Models
- Practice/rehearsing (AUT)
